Hosting overnight guests is an art of anticipations - tiny gestures that say, “we’ve thought of you.” Begin with the bed: crisp sheets, a light quilt, and two pillow types (one plush, one supportive). Place a carafe of water and a small bud vase on the nightstand with your guest’s favourite treats.
Create a mini welcome tray with a handwritten note, local snacks, and a city card featuring your favorite coffee spot and morning walk. Add a universal charger and a small linen pouch with earplugs and a sleep mask - discreet, luxe, and lifesaving.
In the bath, align labels and decant essentials into matching amber bottles. Provide a hair wrap, a wide-tooth comb, and unscented moisturizer; then indulge a small scented soap for daytime.
Morning hospitality matters. Set a “quiet breakfast” station - fruit, yogurt, granola, cold brew concentrate, and a note about how to use the machine - so early risers can help themselves. Later, serve a simple hot dish (masala eggs or ricotta pancakes) with herbal tea.
The farewell is part of the stay. Send them off with a sachet of your coffee blend or a mini jar of homemade granola. Guests will leave feeling seen - and eager to return.
